Grantees in the News

Former HCFO grantee Meredith B. Rosenthal, Ph.D., associate professor at Harvard School of Public Health, will serve as a key note speaker at the Integrated Healthcare Association’s 2008 National Pay for Performance Summit from February 27-29. Rosenthal has conducted HCFO-sponsored research examining the impact of quality reporting on consumer behavior.

A HCFO study led by Douglas A. Conrad, Ph.D., of the University of Washington School of Public Health and Community Medicine, was referenced in the January 3, 2008 uwnews.org article, “UW Medicine Neighborhood Clinics Receive Leadership Award from Premera Blue Cross.” Conrad will examine the effects of quality scorecards and financial incentives, developed by Premera, on physicians’ clinical quality, patient satisfaction, and efficiency.
